women's health issues

For some strange reason, whenever I address a health issue and my friends are present, the discussion is quickly redirected to another subject in his attempt to avoid the discussion. Recently I found the same phenomenon and one of my friends said the men are guilty of making mistakes when it comes to their health. To forget eating fruits and vegetables a day to taste a hamburger, French fries, an appointment with your doctor if symptoms have been known for weeks, to intensify, men feel guilty for neglecting their health and try to avoid any kind of discussion that reminds them of that fact.

If you know the old story that men not need to seek advice from the street because they can always find your way, do not tend to seek help when it comes to their health because they are always capable of overcoming The problem they face and to heal. In fact, statistics show that women are more concerned about their health than men, and take more preventive measures to protect them. After doing my own focus group with some of my friends, I discovered that this is totally true. Most of them to avoid going to regular reviews, especially young people, and decide to make a visit to the doctor's office when something breaks, usually because the woman is present and insists it is serious and must not be at random. Then it makes sense that men have an average life expectancy shorter than women in six years.

But even if this can be explained in part because social norms that describe men to be strong and poignant, this life-threatening health and neglect can be justified. Endure the pain and be able to overcome any problem faced not seem an adequate explanation for this behavior problem. The truth is that men tend to visit the doctor believes that involve uncomfortable procedures and potentially painful and, in general, men are not able to handle or cope with the pain. While women are biologically capable of handling the pain of pregnancy, also are more open to discuss health issues and education themselves from threats to their health.

Considering the fact that only focus on the magazine and website not on men's health in relation to health issues of women examined, it is logical to conclude that men's health seems to be a priority for either men or society. Not that men are not sick or who have no symptoms of weakness from time to time, rather than its social role does not allow them to see or express that weakness.
